A patient in her forties, two vaginal births behind her. What bothered her most was cycling – after longer rides the labia were swollen and sore for hours. The procedure covered the labia minora together with the clitoral hood, so the proportions stayed in balance instead of only being shortened.
She dances professionally, and that was exactly where the problem showed up: chafing during performances, discomfort that no protective trick solved for long. After the labiaplasty she went back to full stage work without pain – and, as she put it herself, without thinking about it at all.
Not every reason is physical. This patient had no real discomfort – she simply never felt at ease with the way her labia looked, with partners and on her own. The result is deliberately subtle: natural proportions rather than the shortest possible edge.
